- AI will diminish 92 million administrative roles from 2025 – 2030
- AI might create 170 million emerging roles with 7% employment growth
- Big data, fintech, AI, ML, app development, and cybersecurity are rapidly evolving job fields
Although AI is assisting businesses and individuals in multiple walks of life but, the fear of losing jobs because of artificial intelligence is also growing. However, if you are one of these individuals, you don’t need to worry but you can only go with the right roles.
A recent WEF (World Economic Forum) report reveals that AI will take over around 92 million roles in the next five years. Indeed, AI technologies and robots are ready to replace document management and administrative roles like cashiers, clerks, accountants, etc. However, AI is not the ultimate merging point of everything. You simply need to transform your skills because AI will also introduce new opportunities.
AI will Generate More Roles than It Eliminates
The Future of Jobs Survey by WEF shares that AI is not only a job destroyer but can also create a large number of positions. Yes, AI will present 170 million new roles, but you just have to master the right skills. It signifies that even if the world loses 92 million positions at the end of this decade, there will still be a 7% surge in employment.
To avoid termination, you must be familiar with the right career path or software field to pursue. If we discuss the fastest-growing jobs, big data, fintech, AI, GRC cybersecurity, and ML work trajectories are topping the charts. Similarly, postal service clerks, bank tellers, and secretaries are at the highest risk of losing their positions. It is because of technological transformations.

On the other hand, there are job holders who are considered immune to the influence of AI. These are delivery service drivers, agriculture workers, and app and software developers. Whether you are a manual worker or in the IT sector, you must be proficient in analytical thinking, adaptability, and mentorship.
This report also discloses that 77% of businesses are set to announce skill-enhancement programs to back their employees. In contrast, 70% of firms are set to employ AI assistants to meet current business challenges.
